Kristen Stewart is perhaps the most important jewel in the Vapid Fluff universe. Not a day goes by that I don’t search the wild internet for freshly harvested pictures of her walking grumpily around Los Feliz with a latte. Can you believe she spent nearly two years dating international supermodel Stella Maxwell and I still wouldn’t recognize that girl if I tripped over her on the street????

Anyway, over the last week and a half, Kristen’s been spotted walking dogs and picking up to-go juices with a Los Angeles-based stylist named Sara Dinkin, so I guess that’s her girlfriend now! Whoever Kristen Stewart is dating, it will always be news. I hope these two eat so many salads together, in front of so many photographers!!!

Are they or aren’t they? Were they or weren’t they? Would they tell us if they were? Or if they weren’t? Or if they had been? At this point it honestly doesn’t matter if these two were best friends or a couple. Their alleged romantic dalliances captivated us all year long and we covered them exhaustively.

Janelle officially came out! Tessa officially came out! This year Janelle blessed us with the “Make Me Feel” video, captivating audiences and contributing to the popularity of bisexual lighting. Just when we thought things couldn’t get any gayer, the “Pynk” video happened to us and taught us how two very good friends can enjoy each other’s company while wearing vagina pants.

Even if they’ve broken up, or even if they were never actually together to begin with (they SO were), Tessa Thompson and Janelle Monáe reign supreme as Most Important Gal Pals of 2018.

The 2018 Met Gala’s Best Lesbian, Bi, and Queer Looks

In the fashion industry, the first Monday in May is its own kind of holiday. 

The Met Gala (formerly known as the The Costume Institute Gala, and informally known to me as “your favorite celebrity’s favorite red carpet”) is a fundraiser, co-sponsored by Anna Wintour and Vogue, supporting the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Costume Institute in New York City. It’s also the soft launch of the Metropolitan Museum’s annual summer fashion exhibit. An unabashed love letter to the craft and art of fashion, the night’s red carpet is more iconic than the gala itself. 

Designers invite celebrities as their guests to wear masterfully constructed, and often avant-garde, “costumes” based on a central theme. This year’s theme, “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” gave a me a bit of pause. Little did I know that 20GayTeen would once again work it’s magic when I least expected it!

Eleven out queer women and non-binary folks walked the carpet last night, more than any previous record.  We have all of those looks for you here! We also included a few special extras that we didn’t want you to miss.

The Best Lesbian, Bi, and Queer Looks

Is there anyone else we would have started with? As a black masculine-of-center lesbian, Lena Waithe was already going to make an impact in her Met Gala debut just for walking the carpet in her signature well tailored suit and perfectly beat face. She took it further. She made sure that we were in the room, and that everyone would know it. Lena always puts her community on her back, this time literally, and we can’t help but love those who are out there loving us so openly.

To really take in the weight of this costume choice, we can’t forget that the theme of last night’s gala — “Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”. It was criticized by many for being insensitive to the history of the church’s relationship with homophobia, sexual abuse, and racism. Lena turned her red carpet moment into a statement of defiant pride, solidarity, and visibility.

Seriously, what did we do to deserve her? What a time to be alive. Waithe also took time on the carpet to talk with Vogue about the significance of her fashion choice, including the decision to include black and brown (representing people of color) with the Pride flag rainbow.

Janelle Monáe returned to her iconic black & white aesthetic, using the gold brim of her hat to play on the event’s theme — it’s meant to cast a “halo” framing her face. It’s been a while since Monáe brought back the black & white uniform of her early career, but as she reminded Vanity Fair last night, “My black and white is meant to honor my working-class parents. My mother was a janitor, both my fathers, my biological father and my stepfather, were custodians, sanitation workers, post-office workers.” They wore uniforms everyday. It wasn’t about what they were wearing, but who they were.

Paris Jackson and Cara Delevingne’s ALLEGED Relationship Is Honestly the Highlight of My Year

For weeks now, tabloids have been buzzing that some sort of relationship had begun brewing between rich daughter/model/something-or-other Paris Jackson, 19, and noted author/model/actress Cara Delevingne, 25. The pair met last May at the MTV Movie Awards and apparently struck up some kind of friendship. Tongues began wagging after the pair were spotted leaving an event holding hands this past December. In the world of celebrity tabloid journalism, this is as clear a signal as you can get; it’s a slippery slope from hand-holding to downright canoodling. These two lovable gal pals have not directly addressed rumors that they might be dating, but they were caught acting suspiciously like a very affectionate couple in a creepy paparazzi video we will not post here for ethical reasons. In lieu of that, here is an artist’s rendering of some key moments:

In the video, as the pair wait outside for a table at an Argentinian restaurant they are about to peruse with Paris’ godfather Macaulay Culkin and his girlfriend Brenda Song. Cara sits in Paris’ lap as they smoke cigarettes and appear very happy. Later, they awkwardly/adorably slow dance and twirl each other; Cara even kneels on the ground so Paris can dance around her. At one point, Paris gives her an affectionate kiss on the mouth. They appear to grin at each other with the unmistakably giddy, glassy-eyed stare of early-stage infatuation.. or friendship? “They have a flirty friendship but aren’t dating or in a relationship,” a reliable source told People. “Paris is 19 years old and living her life. She has no plans to settle down any time soon.” Not for nothing, reliable source, but I don’t kiss my friends this way, not with that goofy smile (and if I do, it usually necessitates a discussion). According to celebrated body language expert Stef Schwartz, “These two are TOTALLY DOIN’ IT.”

Please just let me have this one thing.

Last week, Delevingne and Jackson shocked the world by posting a series of Instagram stories detailing an evening spent eating strawberries and watching Carol together in bed, which is honestly the gayest thing I can imagine two people doing.

One of the most fascinating aspects of any speculative celebrity relationship is the urgency tabloid publications feel to create drama surrounding them, based largely on anonymous sources with an insider’s view. Radar in particular have posted often about how upset Paris’ grandparents Katherine and Joe Jackson are said to be about her (hypothetical) affair with Cara, but this week they insist that Paris has been soliciting her dear aunts Janet and LaToya to advocate on her behalf. “Paris Jackson Begs Janet To Convince Grandparents To Accept Lover Cara Delevingne,” the headline screams. I feel like this family has seen worse, but what do I know? I hope all the Jacksons are on board for this definitely-maybe-happening romance.

Delevingne was previously linked to ethereal wood nymph Annie Clark, and Jackson previously dated a guy who thought a Confederate flag tattoo was a cool idea. We here at Vapid Fluff HQ think this pairing is a much more sensible match.

Hello nerds, today we’re going to look at some stuff that famous people have been up to on the internet! Are you ready?!?! But first, we’re going to talk about the situation with model/actress Paris Jackson and noted author Cara Delevingne. Are they dating?! They haven’t said for sure, but for two people who aren’t dating, they sure spend a lot of time together. Multiple sources in the reputable field of celebrity journalism have recently reported that 19-year-old model/actress Paris Jackson has been spotted seeking the favors of young women on exclusive celebrity dating app Raya. Jackson is best known for being the only daughter of Michael Jackson, though she has recently made a guest appearance on the truly bananas television program Star (starring known heterosexual Queen Latifah) and signed a modeling contract with IMG.

This reporter has personally been asking questions about Paris Jackson ever since she took a girl named Melissa Lauren to prom last year, though more recently she had been dating some dude with a Pantera tattoo featuring a prominent Confederate flag. In January, she told Rolling Stone about the “open-minded household” her father raised her in, describing a crush she’d had on a female celebrity when she was eight. “Instead of yelling at me, like most homophobic parents, he was making fun of me, like, ‘Oh, you got yourself a girlfriend.'”

According to an anonymous source who spoke exclusively to Radar Online, “Paris has made no secret of having crushes on girls in the past and wants to keep her options open… She’s not interested in making a big statement about her sexuality. She thinks it’s unnecessary in 2017, but she’s having fun chatting to sexy women online.” Aren’t we all?

More recently, Paris has been spotted hanging out with potential lesbian and carbonated vanquisher of police brutality Kendall Jenner, whose mother Kris has apparently been managing Jackson. She also attended the GLAAD awards wearing a Yanina gown featuring a rainbow peacock pattern.

What are we to take from this sudden barrage of information? Paris is currently the only one of her siblings to have sought a career in the public eye, and it does sound like someone with a lot of influence behind the scenes in Hollywood is determined to make Paris Jackson into a household name. However, if Paris is looking for a girlfriend, we recommend she look no further than fellow Hollywood starlet Bella Thorne.
