VIDEO: “Little Horribles” Episode 12: Two Parties, One Night

The season finale has all your favorite parts of Little Horribles (and maybe life): awkward interactions, masturbation, alcohol, and Kali Hawk. Keep up with the YouTube page so you can keep tabs on the second season’s progress and find out how you can help keep the show going!

Written and created by Amy York Rubin, Little Horribles is a darkly comedic web series following the poor decisions of a self-indulgent lesbian. The series chronicles all those things that really aren’t that big of a deal and follows Amy as she navigates her thirties in Los Angeles. Hailed as the “Lesbian Girls” (by some lesbians in Silverlake) the show rips apart and laughs in the face of those painfully uncomfortable moments that no one wants to remember, but everyone does.

A new episode of Little Horribles is here and if you’re trying to stay away from burgers, you might want to wait to watch this one. Keep an eye out for Sujata Day from Awkward Black Girl and enjoy the comedy of Nicole Byer and Jamie Lee of MTV’s Girl Code. Watch the funny below and remember to subscribe to the show’s YouTube channel!

Amy takes a trip to the cinema where she’s surrounded by members of a film club for older adults. Unsurprisingly, she fits right in and doesn’t want to risk alienation by coming out to the group. How will they react? There’s only one way to find out so watch Little Horribles below and subscribe to the show’s YouTube channel!

VIDEO: “Little Horribles” Episode 9: Basketball

I have a complaint and that complaint is there aren’t enough scenes of lesbians playing basketball. Episode 9 of Little Horribles helps with that. Kali Hawk (New Girl) and Sue Galloway (30 Rock) ball it up with Amy this week. Be sure to subscribe to the show’s YouTube channel after you watch below!

VIDEO: “Little Horribles” Episode 7: Bathroom Mirror

Little Horribles is back after the briefest hiatus of all time.  This episode finds Amy in a bar bathroom needing some alone time with the mirror. Ann Carr makes another appearance while Sasheer Zamata and Jessie Cantrell guest star.

VIDEO: “Little Horribles” Episode 6: Minibar

“Minibar” shows the horrors and shame experienced by many a visitor when they realize how much the snacks the hotel so generously provided actually costs. I, personally, have never taken anything from a minibar because I think I would hate myself for at least 3 months after that but some people are worse than others and that’s why the world is how it is. VIDEO: “Little Horribles” Episode 5: Stunning

Another dose of awkward is coming your way because Little Horribles is here. This week Amy is invisible because of Eurocentric standards of beauty. That’s always fun. The popular series releases content on their channel every Wednesday so check that out after you watch this episode.

VIDEO: “Little Horribles” Episode 4: Road Rage

This time around Little Horribles finds Amy in traffic needing to take the edge off. What follows is another hilariously awkward encounter featuring my best friend in the whole world (see: dude I kind of know), Echo Kellum (Ben and Kate)! He’s very funny, much like this episode! In this episode of Little Horribles, Amy goes on a date with someone terribly uninterested in all of the words coming out of her mouth. Catch up on episodes one and two then check this one out. They release new content every Wednesday!

VIDEO: “Little Horribles” Episode 2: LMFAO

A couple of weeks ago, we told you about Little Horribles. Now, the second episode is here and ready to be seen by you and your friends and your exes and your mom when she sneaks into your room to see what you’ve been cackling about. This one features my comedy mistress, Ilana Glazer of Broad City (Chelsea Peretti is my comedy wife in case you were wondering).

Queer Dark Comedy Webseries “Little Horribles” Premieres Today

Brittani’s Team Pick:

Today a queer lady webseries released an episode called “Sexual Activity.” This should be the end of the article because what else do I need to say to convince you to watch it. Nothing, right? I will anyway because there are many more reasons. This episode stars series creator, Amy York Rubin and Ann Carr (Louie, The Actress). Also making an appearance is Issa Rae of The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl which we’ve featured on Autostraddle before. This episode is an unflinchingly honest and uncomfortably funny depiction of two girls breaking up.

Little Horribles promises needle-sharp observations of life’s humiliations and unavoidable disappointments and an appearance by Ilana Glazer of Broad City. To catch new episodes (which will be coming out on Wednesdays), subscribe to the Barnacle Studios Youtube Channel. There’s even a trailer to give you a glimpse into all the goodness to come.
