  1. Tempted to conjure up a Taylor Swift take just so I can be forcibly tested on Gentleman Jack season 1.

  2. A heads up for UK viewers: next Weds on bbc one there’s gonna be a programme with people like Sharron Davies ( who thinks trans women have an unfair advantage in sports) in conversation with trans sports women , scientists etc. I don’t think it will be a total car crash ( hope not anyway), the publicity stills have Martina with her arms round various trans people involved in sport, whether that’s players or fed reps or whoever so there at least should be proper balance? IDK if someone could provide links/clips/etc afterwards for those outside the UK/ people like me who don’t have a TV or iplayer!

  3. My Taylor Swift take is that she’s in that Super Ally phase a lot of people go through before they come out. I’m just sitting back and waiting for all these debates to become irrelevant.

    • YES, that’s exactly what I’ve been thinking. It’s that phase where you’re gonna come out soon but you’re not sure you’re ready yet so you’re just SUPER into gay rights and all your friends are like “no we agree but is there something you want to tell us?”

  4. So you’re saying that I should re-watch Gentleman Jack season 1 to prepare for the test? Okay!

  5. Wow, those as-yet-unproduced queer tv &film projects sound amazing! Jamie Babbit directing a period piece with Kate McKinnon and Emma Watson? Yes please and forever

  6. My Taylor Swift take is I wish people would stop shaming her for being an ally. I can do the Gentleman Jack test now, right?

    • I agree wholeheartedly. We are in the middle of a global right wing surge and we need all the allies we can get, no matter how imperfect they are. That may not be the prettiest of truths, but it is among the more pragmatic of them

    • Out of all the actual takes in the media, this one is my favorite. “It seemed like everyone wanted Swift to use her platform to speak out. Until she did.”

  7. I LOVE Taylor’s new video! Out of all the gay celebrities featured my favourite was Hayley Kiyoko.

  8. Maybe it’s the burnout that’s been hanging over my head for the past month but lately i’ve Been feeling like all the news are bad news.

This roundup is such an uplifting moment! Even just reading the headlights i feel refreshed and uplifted! Thank you Heather xxx

  9. Why are we propping up a woman who I am pretty sure said has voted republican. Even if she comes out I find no reason to get existed or celebrate. I get LGBTQ Republicans exists, but I am not happy about them and think they are traitors to their class and community.
