It’s spring in south Florida, and that means rainy season is imminent but not quite here, so I’m enjoying as much time outside as possible before storms and unbearable temperatures arrive. During the winter season, I served up a hot list of warming winter mocktails, and now I’ve rounded up a bunch of recipes for nonalcohlic springy drinks. Tis the season for fruity, floral, spritzy, spicy beverages to sip by the pool, near a lake, at a picnic, etc.! And if you’re not drinking alcohol for whatever reason, I’ve got you covered. Lots of basil, mint, and berries garnish and flavor these springy drinks. Some of the recipes below require only two or three ingredients and some ice, while some get a little more complex. Consider getting into making shrubs, which are like drinkable vinegars and can be enjoyed on their own or mixed with club soda for a spritzy, flavor-rich spring treat! I tried to stick to drinks that come in shades of pink, orange, and yellow to celebrate the bright renewal vibes of the season. Let’s get spritzy!
